The STEP New Zealand Committee & STEP Education Committee are deeply saddened and shocked to learn of the tragic and sudden passing of STEP Member and Solicitor Telise Kelly.
Telise was a Senior Associate at Martelli McKegg, who had recently completed her STEP NZ Diploma becoming an active new STEP Member. She was to present at the upcoming STEP Conference in September.
Telise was a vibrant young practitioner with a passion for law, specifically in Trusts & Estates and Relationship Property. She was a rising star with a huge intellect, which was noted by all who worked with her. She exuded joy and positivity and will always be remembered by her colleagues as a warm, funny, engaging young woman with a great heart and enormous empathy.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to Telise’s family, friends, colleagues at Martelli McKegg and STEP members. It is a life tragically cut short and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
